Dear Neighbor,

Once again we find ourselves in an election year. This year has already proven itself to be exciting for Nevadans with the Presidential caucuses in January. We saw record turnout, which will surely translate to big turnout in November. It has been great to see so many of my constituents get involved in the process so early on.

I have also been very busy in the interim working for the residents of District 1. During the last legislative session I took on the task of looking at the Green Buildings regulations and making sure that the state wasn’t losing money in the deal – I am proud to say that we were able to fix the law to make sure that legislative intent was followed and that we continue to lead the nation in Green building, but also that we don’t strip the state of much needed funds in the process.

I have attended neighborhood meetings in order to hear from you and address issues that you have. I have met with local government officials to help address those concerns and improve the quality of life of the residents of District 1.

I have always been very involved with the schools, and am proud of the work I have done at Cheyenne High School, supporting their efforts to improve not only the school, but programs in the athletic department and performing arts department.

I look forward to an active election year and continuing to hear directly from you about the issues which concern you. Please do not hesitate to contact me about your concerns, issues you would like to see me take on in Carson City, or suggestions about my campaign. I value the relationship that I have with you and hope that we can continue to work together to improve Assembly District 1.
